Karel Trinkewitz visited Colgate in the spring of 1989
and had a small exhibition in the Max Kade Center
At this time he predicted the velvet revolution in Prague which occured in the fall and he also predicted that Václav Havel (his old friend from the time when they both belonged to the co-signers of the Charta 77) would be the next President of Czechoslovakia.
